The Mookaite Smooth Stones are about 3 - 4cm in size only about 1cm thick. Each stone is preformed by hand, then cut and polished.
You will receive the Smooth Stones in packaging units of 0.5 kg (approx. 18 - 25 stones/VE).
The Smooth Stones are ideal for supplementary stone overlays on special topics. They can also be glued on with a plaster and thus be worn comfortably directly on the skin for a longer period of time or simply be inserted as a pocket stone.
The name "Mookaite" is derived from the largest site of the mineral in the Kennedy Range, about 1000km north of the Western Australian capital Perth. Mookaite is mined there along Mooka Creek. "Mooka" means "flowing water" in the Aboriginal language and refers to the numerous springs in the area. Spellings such as Mokaite, Mokaid, Mokaait or Moukait are therefore incorrect. The only synonym for Mookaite at present is Australian Jasper.
