These overlay stones are ideal for stone overlays. They can also be stuck on with a plaster so that they can be worn directly on the skin for longer periods of time or simply inserted as a pocket stone for everyday use.

The sizes vary, as each stone is pre-shaped, cut and polished by hand. The size is approx. 3cm x 2.5cm, the thickness approx. 1cm

The name Eudialyte is composed of the Greek terms "eu" (good, capable) and "dialytos" (decomposable, decomposable) and refers to the easy fusibility and good acid solubility of the mineral. The occasional spellings eudalite, eudalyth and eudialite are therefore incorrect.

A misleading synonym for eudialite is almandine spar. In Lapland, one of the places where Eudialyte is found, the stone is also called "Blood of the Saami", as legend has it that the stone was formed when the Saami fought a giant on the Kola Peninsula.
