The drilled blue Apatite (blue) cabochons are about 3.0 x 1.8cm in size. With a thickness of about 6.5mm and the flat back, the drilled apatites are very comfortable to wear.

In modern stone healing according to Michael Gienger Apatite is used when a stone with activating, motivating effect is required.

The name apatite is derived from the Greek word "apatáo" meaning "to deceive" and was coined in 1786 by the German mineralogist Abraham Gottlob Werner (1749 - 1817). Since apatite occurs in numerous different forms and colors, there is a great danger that apatite will be confused with another mineral. Spellings like apartith, apathite, apatite, appatite or apatiet are not correct.
