Raven play an important roll in the myths and legends of many nations. The raven is often depicted as a power animal or as the constant companion of magicians and wise women. The norse god Odin, for example, always had two ravens sitting on his shoulders, which reported to him what was going on in his empire. It is said that this black bird gives us courage and determination when we have to take decisions and in cases of pending radical decisions, like for example a change in job or residence. The North American Indians also consider ravens and crows as the symbolic animals for wisdom and intelligence.
