These intense pink cobalt calcite druzy cabochons are about 4.5cm high; diameter of the hole about 2.3mm.

Each cabochon is cut based on the characteristics of the rough stone; therefore, small variations in shape, color, and size from the photos are possible. The green areas in the pink Calcite are Malachite.

In literature cobalt calcite is also called cobaltocalcite, cobaltocalcite or cobalt dolomite.

In gemstone medicine, the mineral is used when curiosity, imagination and esprit are to be strengthened.

Other names for calcite are calcite/calcareous spath, limestone, double spath and sea chalk. The vernacular also calls calcite a leg-breaking stone. Of the various possible spellings, e.g. calcite, calcite, calcite or calcide, the spelling calcite, which is now in common use in the wholesale trade, has become established.
