This unusual massage stone made of Disthene with Ruby is about 10-11cm long and between 18 - 24mm thick. Due to its high weight it lies well in the hand.
Disthene, also called kyanite or cyanite, is used in stone healing and gemstone wellness, when support is needed in the completion of life's task and in extreme situations the ability to act should be preserved.

The name Disthen derives from the Greek "this sthénos" (twofold strength, twofold power). This describes a quite unusual property of the Disthene: It shows - depending on the direction in the crystal - two very strongly deviating hardnesses (so-called hardness anisotropy). Spellings such as Distin, Disthin or Disten have not become established in the retail and wholesale trade.
