For this bracelet three magnificent mother of pearl varieties from the South Seas are used: the iridescent paua shell (Haliotis Iris), the white mother of pearl from pearl oyster (Pinctada Maxima) and the brown-eyed mother of pearl from the porcelain snail (Cyprus Tigris Linnaeus).
Colourful Shells were already popular among the Maori, the indigenous people of New Zealand known as a delicacy and as magnificent jewelry materials. Today, the shells are cultivated on farms. For the jewelry no endangered species are used.
Each piece is delivered with a handsome information card (English/German) on the history of the paua shell use in the south sea.
