The balls of blue aragonite are not colored; the raw material comes from Argentina.

Blue aragonite is also called oceanite in retail as well as wholesale.

In stone healing, blue aragonite is valued for its balancing effect; the mineral promotes harmonious development.

The mineral aragonite was described for the first time in 1796 by the German mineralogist Abraham Gottlob Werner and named by one of its first finding places: the province of Aragon in northeastern Spain; the spelling arragonite is therefore not correct.

Blue aragonite is very closely related to blue calcite; the two minerals differ in cleavage, crystal structure and solubility.
