The small rough pieces of green-olive Diopside are about 2.5 - 4.5cm in size.

Per packaging unit with 1kg you get approx. 55 - 65 rough stone chunks.

Diopside (origin: Brazil) is important in gemstone medicine, because the mineral supports the unfolding of one's own personality and conveys liveliness, harmony and a resting joy of life.

The name Diopside is derived from the Greek word "dis" (double) and "opsis" (sight) and indicates that Diopside crystals often occur as twins.

The mineral was first described in 1800 by José Bonifácio de Andrada e Silva under the name Coccolite, but in the meantime this name is considered obsolete. The spelling diopsite has also not become accepted.
