AA quality faceted amethyst beads are 4mm in size; the total length of the amethyst strand is about 39cm. The individual amethyst beads vary slightly in color, which gives the strand a particularly vibrant appearance.

Amethyst is highly valued and used in stone healing because of its effect - with the help of this type of stone, inner peace can be strengthened and constructive thinking and acting can be promoted.

The name amethyst is derived from the Greek word amethystos (counteracting intoxication) and refers to the traditional belief that with an amethyst one is protected against the intoxicating effects of wine and other alcohol. Spellings such as Amathyst, Amethist, Ametist, Ametyhst, Ametyst, Amnethyst, Amthyst or Amythist are therefore incorrect.
