The faceted beads of bright green Apatite (stab.) are about 2.5cm in size, the entire Apatite strand is about 39cm long, making it very suitable for threading two sparkling bracelets, for example.

The name apatite is derived from the Greek word "apatáo" for "to deceive" and was coined in 1786 by the German mineralogist Abraham Gottlob Werner (1749 - 1817). Since apatite occurs in numerous different forms and colors, there is a great danger that apatite will be confused with another mineral. Spellings like apartith, apathite, apatite, appatite or apatiet are not correct.
