The bright light green balls of Variscite have a polished surface and a diameter of 6mm; the entire Variscite strand is about 40cm long.

Variscite is the "pick-me-up stone". The mineral makes awake, attentive and promotes rational thinking. Thus, one's own concerns can be clearly expressed.
The name Variscite is derived from the first known place of discovery of the mineral in the Vogtland (Latin: Varisca); the spelling Varizit or Variskit are therefore not correct.
Occasionally found synonyms are Utalite, Californian Turquoise or Uthaturquoise.
