The faceted spheres of sunstone are 4mm in size; the entire sunstone strand has a length of approx. 40cm.
Sunstone (Aventurine Feldspar) is significant in stone healing to support an optimistic, positive attitude towards life. In addition, the mineral can cause the view to focus more on their own abilities and the sunny side of life.
The mineralogical name for Sunstone is Aventurine (orange) Feldspar; the red-orange color and sparkle are caused by very small inclusions of Hematite and other iron oxides. A name for sunstone rarely used nowadays is heliolite or heliotite. This particular variety is also called confetti sunstone.
