Coarse natural salt is suitable, for example, as Salt for Cooking in salt mills or for cooking in salt coats.
The crystal salt comes from the famous Salt Range in the north-east of Pakistan (Punjab province), which is around 160 km from Islamabad and 260 km from Lahore. The salt mines around Kehwra are located in a foothill of the Himalayas, but are not directly associated with the Himalayan massif. Alexander salt is therefore also known commercially as "Himalayan salt" or "Himalayan salt".
Importers in Switzerland must have an import permit for Halite from the United Swiss Rhine Salt Works.
