Each pair is unique! Top quality with lively banding!

For these unusual Rhodochrosite earrings small stalagmites were cut into slices and then set in silver. Origin of the raw material: Argentina.

The Earstuds have a diameter of about 8mm.

Setting and Nut are made of rhodium-plated silver 925, delivery in pairs.

Abraham Gottlob Werner (1749-1817) first named the Rhodochrosite manganese spar, taking into account its chemical composition and good fissility. In 1813 Friedrich Hausmann (1782-1859) gave the Rhodochrosite its name "Rhodochrosite" which is still valid today. This is derived from the ancient Greek words "rhodo" (rose) and "chrosite" (color). Spellings like Rhodhocrosite, Rhodochosite, Rhodocrosite, Rodhocrhosite, Rodochrosite or Rodocrosite are therefore not correct. Nowadays obsolete names for the Rhodochrosite are Incaspat/Inkarose, Raspberry spar, Rose spar and Manganese spar.
