In stone medicine Rhodochrosite is used to strengthen activity, liveliness, eroticism and spontaneous emotional expressions. The gemstone conveys optimism, brings energy and makes elated, so that upcoming tasks can be mastered with ease and successfully.

0.5 kg/VE (approx. 40 - 50 stones; mostly flat)

Size of the stones approx. 2,0 - 3,0cm

Origin of the raw material: Argentina / Capetilitas Inca Mine

Abraham Gottlob Werner (1749-1817) first named the rhodochrosite manganese spar, taking into account its chemical composition and good fissility. In 1813 Friedrich Hausmann (1782-1859) gave the Rhodochrosite its name "Rhodochrosite" which is still valid today. This is derived from the ancient Greek words "rhodo" (rose) and "chrosite" (color). Spellings like Rhodhocrosite, Rhodochosite, Rhodocrosite, Rodhocrhosite, Rodochrosite or Rodocrosite are therefore not correct. Nowadays obsolete names for the Rhodochrosite are Incaspat/Inkarose, Raspberry spar, Rose spar and Manganese spar.
