The Anch, also known as the Ankh, Loop or Handle Cross, consists of a "T" with an attached half lemniscate. From ancient Egypt, depictions have survived in which a god presents the sign Anch to the Pharaoh as a sign of life. This meaning of the cross pendant has survived to this day.
The gemstone crosses Anch are especially fond of wearing as pendants to symbolize the life force and the connection between life and breath.
