Pencil stones - the new form of polished gemstones! Well suited as hand flatterers, for decoration and also for drilling or jewelry making.

Length approx. 2.5 to 4.8 cm, thickness approx. 10 mm; mostly square cross-section.

PU with 100g; these are approx. 15 - 19 polished elongated Thulites.

Thulite is used in gemstone healing when challenges need to be overcome. With the support of the mineral, it is easier to jump over one's own shadow and live out one's own wishes and fantasies.

The reddish color of the mineral is caused by manganese. Mineralogically, Thulite is a pink or red Zoisite.

The mineral Thulite was given its name in 1823 by the London mineralogist Henry James Brooke. It was named after the legendary island of Thule, the northern end of the world in Germanic mythology. The name was probably chosen because at the beginning of the 19th century there was only one known localities of Thulite in Norway. The spellings Tulit, Thulith, Thuilit or Thullit are therefore not correct.

Place of discovery: Leksvik, Norway
