The cabochons made of Indonesian copal are domed on one side and flat on the other. This makes them very suitable for jewelry making, but also, for example, for laying on and gluing on as part of stone healing applications.
The copalcabochons have different shapes and are approx. 1.5 - 2.0cm in size.
Copal" is the name given to young Amber. "Copal" is derived from the Aztec word "copalli" (resin); therefore the spelling Copal is also common. From the English language area comes the name Animé for the fossil tree resin.
