The roundish splinters in tumbled shape of purple Charoite are about 5-12mm long and about 3-5mm thick.
With a total length of about 40cm, the charoite strand is suitable for making two bracelets, for example.

The name Charoite is derived from its location near the Russian river Chara. More correct would be the German name Tscharoit, but this name is not used in retail or wholesale. Occasional spellings like Chaoirt, Caroit, Charoid or Charoiet are not correct.
